Mission Statement

Welcome to the Clerk of Superior Court of Troup County website. The Clerk’s Office is dedicated to providing you with helpful information. It is my hope that this new website accomplishes this goal.

The Mission of the Troup County Clerk of Superior Court is to accurately maintain, safeguard and store all Court documents as well as collect and disburse all monies as directed by legal mandates. The knowledgeable staff will strive to serve all who use this office through competent customer service, communications and community outreach.

The clerk and deputy clerks desire to help all parties that ask for assistance and will attempt to do so. However, the clerk and deputy clerks are strictly forbidden to practice law by statute. The clerks have been allowed by the legislature to assist more freely in family violence matters, but any assistance given by this office should not be considered legal advice. Sound legal advice must only come from a licensed practicing attorney and the clerk's office encourages all parties to seek competent legal advice. We ask that you will be understanding of our office staff as we attempt to assist you.

As a public official elected by the citizens of Troup County, I take very seriously the best interest of the citizens and my responsibility to keep and protect the public records of this County.
